The method, so it can be checked. Every count in this file was produced by reading the Strong's-tagged interlinear Hebrew and Greek text row by row, the STEPBible TAHOT and TAGNT data, rather than by looking a figure up in a tool whose method was unknown. Only the dStrongs column was counted, the same row also carries columns of textual variants and cross-references that name identifiers belonging to other verses, and counting those inflates a total. The identifier was taken with its disambiguating letter (H3820A, not H3820), and a verse was counted once however many times the word occurs in it. Where a lexicon splits one word into lettered senses, both the sense figure and the total are given above.
⚠️
Two honest limits on these numbers. First, a verse count is not an occurrence count; a word appearing three times in one verse adds one. Second, the sense letters are a tagger's judgement, recorded in the STEPBible data shows two adjacent verses in Matthew 16 carrying different letters for the same Greek lemma. Where the letter matters to a claim in this file, the claim is stated as what the tagged data says, not as what the Greek requires.
⛔
Where a number is not known, none is given. No figure in this file was estimated, rounded from memory, or copied from a tool whose method was not checked.
