Prophecy

The Bible keeps receipts on its own prophecies. This page gathers all of them: 197 places where the New Testament stamps a passage fulfilled or as written, shown in the order the story makes the claims; the 9 lines it quotes as still ahead; the Old Testament’s own 49 fulfillment notices; and the open horizon that Revelation is woven from. Every row opens in the reader so you can check it yourself.

What this page is careful about: these are the Bible’s recorded claims, not our verdicts. A chapter with no stamp is not “unfulfilled”; much judgment preaching was closed by history with no New Testament stamp needed. And the order of what remains is exactly what the main views debate, so we show every view and pick none.

The three stamps

fulfilled

The text says this happened: “this took place to fulfill…”

as written

“This is that Scripture”: a prophecy arriving, or a standing word applied. Not something still waiting.

still ahead

The New Testament itself says “will”, quoting a prophecy as future.

The claims, in the order the story makes them

197 claims across 116 of the Old Testament’s 929 chapters. The resurrection carries no stamp inside the Gospel accounts; it is stamped weeks later in the apostles’ preaching.

2. The forerunner5 claims
3. His ministry38 claims

Quoted as still ahead, by the New Testament itself

The rarest stamp: a citation in the future tense. Death swallowed, the grave defeated, the Deliverer coming, the covenant kept.

    • Isaiah 25:8quoted as future in1 Corinthians 15:54 still ahead

He will swallow up death forever. The Lord GOD will wipe away the tears from every face and remove the disgrace of His people from the whole earth. For the LORD has spoken.

    • Hosea 13:14quoted as future in1 Corinthians 15:55 still ahead

I will ransom them from the power of Sheol; I will redeem them from Death. Where, O Death, are your plagues? Where, O Sheol, is your sting? Compassion is hidden from My eyes.

    • Isaiah 59:20quoted as future inRomans 11:26 still ahead

“The Redeemer will come to Zion, to those in Jacob who turn from transgression,” declares the LORD.

    • Jer.31.31-Jer 31:37quoted as future inRomans 11:26 still ahead

Behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah.

    • Jeremiah 31:34quoted as future inRomans 11:26 still ahead

No longer will each man teach his neighbor or his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ because they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquities and will remember their sins no more.”

    • Jeremiah 31:37quoted as future inRomans 11:26 still ahead

This is what the LORD says: “Only if the heavens above could be measured and the foundations of the earth below searched out would I reject all of Israel’s descendants because of all they have done,” declares the LORD.

    • Jeremiah 31:1quoted as future inRomans 11:26 still ahead

“At that time,” declares the LORD, “I will be the God of all the families of Israel, and they will be My people.”

    • Jer.31.31-Jer 31:34quoted as future inRomans 11:27 still ahead

Behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah.

    • Isaiah 59:21quoted as future inRomans 11:27 still ahead

“As for Me, this is My covenant with them,” says the LORD. “My Spirit will not depart from you, and My words that I have put in your mouth will not depart from your mouth or from the mouths of your children and grandchildren, from now on and forevermore,” says the LORD.

    The open horizon

The longest prophetic-book stretches with no stamp of any kind. Two very different things live here: judgment preaching that history closed, and material the canon chains forward into Revelation (the share below).

The order of what remains is the debate itself

Past claims can be put in story order, and were, above. The order of the open horizon is what the three main views disagree about. All three end at the same place: the new creation.

ViewThe “thousand years” (Rev 20)Christ returns…
Premillennialisma literal future reign on earth after His returnbefore the millennium
Amillennialisma symbolic figure for the present church ageonce, at the end
Postmillennialisman age of gospel triumph before He returnsafter a “golden age”

The text’s own guardrails sit over this whole page: no one knows the day or hour, not even the Son (Matthew 24:36); the times are not ours to know (Acts 1:7); the secret things belong to the LORD (Deuteronomy 29:29). The stated purpose of end-times teaching is comfort, readiness and hope, not speculation. Counts on this page are computed from the openbible.info cross-reference data (CC BY 4.0) against the Berean Standard Bible we host; the method, including everything our checks rejected, is documented and re-runnable. Where Christians order the future differently, we present each view and pick no winner.
