Bubble Bible hosts six complete English translations you can read in full and set side by side, chosen because they are public domain or freely licensed and because together they span the spectrum: the Berean Standard Bible (BSB, modern, readable, our default, and the one carrying word-level Strong's tags that power word study), the King James Version (1611) and the American Standard Version (1901, both formal and classic), the World English Bible (a modern public-domain update), the Literal Standard Version (very word-for-word), and the Free Bible Version (natural, clear English). Reading one verse across all six shows you the same text from very literal to very readable.
About the versions we do not host: we can freely describe any translation, its history, philosophy, and how it differs, and this explainer does exactly that; but we can only display the full text of translations that are public domain or openly licensed, because copyrighted versions (the NIV, ESV, NASB, NLT, CSB, NKJV, and others) require a license from their publishers to reproduce. That is a matter of law and permissions, not preference or quality, and adding more versions is a step we can take over time as licenses are secured. Our shelf is meant to grow; the fact that a version is not yet here is never a verdict that the ones we host are "better," only that they are the ones we can put in your hands today. And we never machine-translate Scripture to fake a version, we host real, established translations or none. "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path" (Psalm 119:105, Berean Standard Bible); "let the word of Christ dwell in you richly" (Colossians 3:16, American Standard Version), in whichever faithful English rendering you will read.
